This page enables you to update the selected banner's details. Similar to the 'Add new Banner: STEP 2' page, there are 6 tables on this page and their functions are listed below:

  • The 'Banner Details' table displays the basic information of the banner. Its rows represent:
     
    • Banner ID / Banner name:
      These are the selected banner's ID and name.
       
    • For advertiser:
      Displays the name of the advertiser who owns the banner.
       
    • Dimension:
      You can reselect the banner's dimension here. If the dimension you intended to use is not available in the list, you need to create a new area with that dimension first by using the 'Add new Area' page.
       
    • Category:
      You can reselect the banner's category here.
       
    • Approval status:
      You can switch the approval status of the banner to either 'Pending' (waiting for approval from the administrator), 'Approved' (approved by the administrator), or 'Rejected' (rejected by the administrator). Only approved banners will be displayed during the broadcasting.
       
    • Status:
      You can switch the status of the banner to either 'Active' (activate the banner), or 'Paused' (deactivate the banner).
       
    • Priority:
      You can reselect the banner's priority or broadcasting weight. '1' is for the least important banner. It will caused the banner to get the lowest broadcasting priority. '10' is for the most important banner.
       
    • Media type:
      You can reselect the type of the banner. 'Standard' is for regular image based banner, and 'Rich' is for flash or HTML banner.
       
       
  • The 'Details for standard banner' table displays the details of a standard media banner. Its rows represent:
     
    • Image URL:
      This is the exact URL to the banner's image. You can:
       
      • Specify the URL where the banner's image can be found. If the 'Fetch and save this image locally' presents and you checked it, AdvertisementManager will fetch the banner's image at the specified URL and stores it locally in the 'banners' sub-folder.

      • Or select any of the uploaded images belonged to the selected advertiser. This list will only be shown if there is at least 1 banners that has been uploaded or stored for the selected advertiser.

      • Or enter the full path where the banner's image can be found on the server. To use this method, the banner's image must resides on the same server as the AdvertisementManager's installation. If specified, AdvertisementManager will copies the image to the 'banners' sub-folder.

      • Or upload the banner's image directly from your computer. Click the 'Browse' button to choose the banner's image on your computer.
         
         
    • Target URL:
      You can re-enter the location of the target page for the banner. This value has a maximum length of 255 characters. A 'mailto:' tag is also supported so you can redirect the visitor to any email addresses (with pre-filled subject line) instead of standard webpage.
       
    • Alternate text:
      You can re-enter the descriptive text for the banner. Anyone using browsers with disabled image viewing option will see this text instead of the banner's image. This text will also appears when the mouse cursor is placed briefly on the banner's image. This field is optional.
       
    • Description:
      You can re-enter the short descriptive text for the banner. This text will appears hyperlinked under the banner when broadcasted. This field is optional.
       
    • Status bar text:
      You can re-enter the text that will be shown in the browser's status bar when anyone hovers their mouse cursors on the banner. This text is primarily used for additional description for the banner and for masking the actual target URL. This field is optional too.
       
       
  • The 'Details for rich media banner' table is used for specifying the actual codes for a rich media banner. Except for any '<TRACKCODE1>' and '<TRACKCODE2>' tags, any characters in this text area will be displayed directly with no modification when broadcasting.
     
    Any '<TRACKCODE1>' tags will be substituted automatically with AdvertisementManager's tracking URLs, complete with 'A HREF' tags when broadcasting.
     
    For '<TRACKCODE2>' tags, it will be substituted automatically with AdvertisementManager's tracking URLs, without the 'A HREF' tags.
     
    This enables a trackable clicks for customized rich media banner.
     
  • The 'Activities' table displays the banner's current impressions, clicks, CTR, and the most recent date these values were deleted. If you want to reset these values, check the 'Reset counter now' checkbox.
     
     
  • The 'Keyword targeting' table enables you to target the banner to certain keywords. You can specify multiple keywords. Separate each keyword with a comma. Each keyword must not exceed 50 characters. Already listed keywords indicate the current targeted keywords.
     
     
  • The 'Broadcasting Campaigns' table lists all available campaigns for the selected advertiser. You can attach the banner to any campaigns in this table by checking their checkboxes. Checked campaigns indicates the current selection. All the campaignIDs in this table are hyperlinked so if you need you can view their details just by clicking them.
     
     

To confirm or save any changes you made to the banner, click the 'Edit this Banner' button. If you want to discard any changes, click the 'Cancel' button and no changes will be made to your banner's record.
