Help Index » View Advertiser Welcome Message Emailing Setup

This page displays the settings used for constructing and emailing account information or "welcome" messages to your advertisers.

This function is especially usefull when you're manually creating your advertiser's account, and later want to inform the advertiser regarding his or her new account (including where he or she can logs in to his or her account). To send out this message, just click the 'Send welcome email' button on your selected advertiser's 'View Advertiser' page.

There are 3 tables on this page and their functions are listed below:

  • The 'Emailing Setup' table displays:

    • Message email address:
This email address is used as the sender address for all the messages.

    • Message emailing format:
This is the format that will be used when constructing and sending the welcome message to your advertisers. It can be one of the 3 possibilities here:

      • Always email text-formatted advertiser renewal notice:
This value indicates all your advertisers will always receive text formatted messages. The messages will be sent as file attachments in text format if your advertiser's 'Email format' setting is 'HTML'.

      • Always email HTML-formatted advertiser renewal notice:
This value indicates all your advertisers will always receive HTML formatted messages. The messages will be sent as file attachments in HTML format if your advertiser's 'Email format' setting is 'Text'.

      • Use advertiser preferred email format:
This value indicates all your advertisers will always receive messages formatted according to the 'Email format' setting in their account.

    • Message email title:
This is the title for all the messages. When the messages are being sent, any AdvertisementManager's predefined tags in this title will be replaced with their respective values. These tags are:

      • <ADVERTISER_ACC_NAME>
This tag will be replaced with the advertiser's account name.

      • <ADVERTISER_FIRSTNAME>
This tag will be replaced with the advertiser's first name.

      • <ADVERTISER_LASTNAME>
This tag will be replaced with the advertiser's last name.

You can update any of the above settings by clicking the 'Edit Setup' button. The 'Finish' button will exit this page and brings you back to the previous page.

  • The 'HTML-formatted Advertiser Welcome Message Template' table displays the template used for constructing HTML formatted messages. You can preview how the generated message will looks like by clicking the 'Preview HTML template' button. A sample message will be generated for you. If you want to update this template, you can click the 'Edit HTML template' button.

  • The 'Text-formatted Advertiser Welcome Message Template' table displays the template used for constructing text formatted messages. Similar to the above, you can preview how the generated message will looks like by clicking the 'Preview Text template' button. If you want to update this template, you can click the 'Edit Text template' button.
